Shanren 50-inch Curved Light Bar Review

Shanren 50-inch Curved Light Bar

While traveling on rural roads, on a vast lake or venturing through a thick forest, typical headlights or spotlights do not offer the visual clarity that this high-powered light bar can provide. The economically priced Shanren 50” curved light bar package comes equipped with mounting brackets, an 11.8 inch connecting cable, instructions and the bar that measures 55 x 6.2 x 8.8 inches. The light bar features 288 watts of power illuminating from a double row of 96 individual Cree Xenon, bright white, LED bulbs that turn nighttime into day with the flip of a switch.

The Illumination Features

Cree LED lights are the most reputable in the industry and have a lifespan of anywhere from 50,000 to 100,000 hours. The LEDs also historically retain full luminosity for up to 95 percent of their lifetime, which means more reliable power compared to competitor brand LEDs. Cree bulbs also produce more lumens per watt than other bulbs. The Shanren 50” curved light bar is rated at 1260 lumens. Unlike conventional light bulbs, LEDs also stand up to the dust and shock commonly encountered from the vibrations of a vehicle.

The durable lighting system comes encased in die-cast black aluminum housing, which has an IP67 waterproof rating. Functional in a temperature range of -49 degrees to 185 degrees Fahrenheit, any internal heat produced automatically exits through the rear housing vents, which ensures that the shatter-resistant lens stays cool. The military-grade breather also works to regulate interior pressure while preventing moisture from entering. The light bar does not need a ballast or voltage conversion, as it runs off vehicle batteries at 10 to 30 volts of direct current.

Weighing a little more than 13 pounds, the Shanren 50” curved light bar also features a combination beam. The inner most lights produce a spot light with a 30-degree spread. The outer lights produce a flood beam, which illuminates a 90-degree spread. The illumination power provided by the combination beam provides brightly-lit, clear vision at distances of up to 300 feet.

The Shanren 50” Curved Light Bar Applications

• Night driving on country or unfamiliar roadways

You could easily spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars for similar products. However, the Shanren 50″ curved light bar provides power and durability at a fraction of the cost.

I installed the light bar on the front roll bar on my UTV. The curve nicely matches that of the Teryx4 roof. The light turns nighttime into daytime to the point that the headlights are not visible. Went on a night adventure through the mountains in Tennessee. The light bar did not disappoint. The trails were so well lit that I could easily drive the speed limit. The wide angle also allowed me to make the sharpest turns safely. Though the light has been exposed to rain, there is no sign of fog or leaking in the lens. The unit also hold up well against the jarring of traveling on uneven terrain. I would gladly by this light again.

This light works great. I mounted it on the back of my boat, because I enjoy night fishing. It illuminates amazingly. It also is holding up against the salt water. I haven’t had any problem with condensation. I imagine you could always use a silicone sealant like other suggest if desired.

This light bar is really bright. I mounted it at the same time that a friend was installing a competitive brand. This light bar is much heavier and has better quality construction. The light pattern that it distributes is pretty even. The flood and spotlights blend together seamlessly even in dense fog. I guesstimate that the light bar illuminates up to 200 feet.

This light bar is really phenomenal. Mounted on my excavator, the light really takes a beating. However, the light keep on working without a problem. I have three other bars that are straight. The curve in this light bar makes all the difference.
