Shanren 42-inch Curved Light Bar Review

Shanren 42inch

Uneven ground and low light are a bad combination for any vehicle. This is pretty obvious when it’s a dirt trail being traversed by an ATV, but a truck handling a job on a deteriorating pavement after dark has a lot to risk too. Putting extra light on the road ahead can reduce the danger involved considerably. That’s where additional lighting like the Shanren 42” Curved Light Bar comes in. It offers the perfect compromise between size and power. At just 42” long, it can fit on any vehicle or watercraft and leave room to spare, but it still supplies more than enough brightness to cut through darkness, rain, snow, or any other barrier to a clear view of your route.

Clear Vision

Instead of relying on a few high-intensity bulbs, the Shanren 42” Curved Light Bar uses 80 individual LED lights arranged in two lines of 40 to create an evenly dispersed glow that spans the entire forward area with no weak spots. With a combined output of 19,200 lumens, these bulbs also penetrate deeper into the night than the average headlights that only produce one-sixth as much light at best. This same luminosity make this light bar easy to spot at a distance, so there’s far less chance of collision if multiple vehicles are close by.

Compact and Efficient

The Epistar LED at the heart of this fixture consumes just three watts of juice. Each LED light is mounted in its own compartment and backed with a carefully designed reflector that redirects 97% of its output for the highest possible efficiency. Altogether, the Shanren 42” Curved Light Bar burns a mere 240 watts with a mass of only around 12.5 pounds while providing spotlight and floodlight features.

Sturdy Protection

The aluminum housing of this light bar offers protection against the elements, but the durability doesn’t end there. A coating of UV-resistant paint provides additional shielding. Likewise, the lens covers are UV resistance too. Its tight-fitting parts give the Shanren 42” Curved Light Bar a waterproof score of IP68. This means everything from driving rain to splashing mud won’t find their way inside. A pair of swiveling mounting brackets complete the device. With all this coverage, it’s a pretty good bet the LED lights will reach their 50,000 hour lifespan.

I bought this light bar to replace the one I had that stopped working because of the amount of water that leaked inside. The product is easy to install and extremely bright. I get a full 180 degrees of vision when driving at night. I recently drove in a serious rainstorm doing 70 plus mph. There is no evidence of moisture in my new light bar. I am thrilled!

Mercy this light bar is bright! I can’t believe how it lights the entire area in front of my vehicle. The construction is good and seems very sturdy. I have not compared this light bar to those extremely expensive models. But, I’ll bet it functions every bit as well for a fraction of the cost.

I mounted this light bar on the top of my Case tractor. It lights up the field amazingly well. I can now operate day and night. I guess I’ll have no excuse for getting behind in field work now. I think the investment was well worth the money.

This light bar is really very bright. It is not cheaply made either. For the price and the quality you can’t go wrong here. I also compared the brightness with a larger 50-inch version. You can hardly tell the difference. So if your vehicle will not accommodate a larger light, no worries, this light bar will fill the bill.
